On Sunday December 18th, MBC opened its doors for the 2nd Annual Kids Christmas Party. The event last year had been such a success with 100 children coming to the fun as against the 50 expected, that we and the 126th decided to double the numbers to 100 for 2011. The final head count showed 250 children and 150 adults and EVERY one went home having been fed received a gift from Father Christmas and had fun and games through the afternoon. The teamwork of the 126th an MBC showed once again that "TEAMWORK WORKS" but none of this would have been possible without the generosity and support of the Hard Rock Cafe who once again provided the staff and food to feed everyone. This 2011 party was even more important for the local community after the tragic fire just a few weeks earlier which would surely have destroyed the dreams of many for a happy Christmas - the 126th and the MBC went a long way to repairing that disappointment. Support in the form of donations, gifts and assistance on the day was unstintingly given by the members of both organisations and a very happy day was had by all.
