2014 Lake Paoay Invitational Regatta

Hosted by the Paoay Boat Club & the Manila Boat Club

MBC and Lake Paoay Boat Club will be co-hosting a Henley styled regatta at Lake Paoay over the weekend of 1-2 February 2014.  The regatta will be based on a head to head racing format between two boats over a 1,000m buoyed course.  The progression system will ensure that all crew have a minimum of two races for each event.

Divisions and classes offered:

• Junior girls, (under 18 yo), 1x, 2x and 4x
• Junior boys, (under 18 yo), 1x, 2x and 4x 
  
• Open women, 1x, 2x, 2- and  4x
• Open men, 1x, 2x, 2- and 4+
  
• Masters Women, ( +27 yo), 1x, 2x, 4x
• Masters Men, ( +27 yo), 1x, 2x, 2- and 4+
  
• Mixed Masters, (+27 yo), 2x, 4x

Schedule:

• Rowing Camp for beginners and students on the morning of Friday, 31 January 2014
• Heats will be rowed during the morning of Saturday 1 Feb 2014 (8am onwards)
• Repechages and semi-finals wll be rowed in the afternoon of Saturday 1 Feb 2014 (2pm onwards)
• Opening of the Paoay Boat Club on the evening of Saturday, 1 Feb 2014 (5:30 p onwards)
• Finals and demonstration events will be rowed during the morning of Sunday 2 Feb 2014 (8am onwards)

• Age Categories, Junior or under 18 yo. (rowing years i.e. the age obtained during the year of competition), Open (open to all rowers irrespective of age) and Masters Categories will be offered.  FISA Masters age categories will be applied. Master’s age handicaps applied in racing. Handicapped starts are to be expected.   
• Progression, progression between heats, repechages, semi-finals and finals will be confirmed once the number of entries are known but all crew will have a minimum of two races for each event.
